Our Impact

Five years ago Preston, an 18-year-old with Autism, didn’t want to sit with the group. Anxiety paralyzed him with fear. However, because of the love, patience, belonging and encouragement in his new group, Center Stage PossAbilities (CSP), Preston has been in three productions. He’s looking forward to the next one alongside the lifelong friends he has made in this theater family.

Payton loves to sing. She auditioned for her school choir with her favorite song but didn’t get a call back. Last year Payton was able to sing that same song in CSP’s production of “Lola and the Big Fish”. She has now been in two productions and is excited to continue to display her talents. She’s even decided she should be the star of the next production. That was an impossible dream before CSP.

Ever since he could walk and talk, Julian has wanted to perform. However, because of his unintelligibility, landing a substantive role was nearly impossible. Until 2017, he only had one unremarkable part in a high school play. Julian has since been in all four of our CSP productions as lead, support and soloist. He’s an inspiration for others with Down syndrome who dream of the chance to be on stage and have their own mic.

Center Stage Possabilities has been foundational in building opportunities for its cast members to develop life skills while enjoying social activities, community involvement and friendships, and have pride in a platform THEY have helped to create.
We are a COMMUNITY! And we believe your participation is as much for YOU as it is for them. We are inviting 250 people to join our tenABLE campaign. YOUR $10/month makes Center Stage possABLE. Less than the cost of a Starbucks coffee and muffin, a movie ticket, or a fast food meal, and you too can take PRIDE in being a part of this unique family. We look forward to clapping and cheering for YOU as you take center stage in our campaign; linking arms to maintain this program that serves our friends who are differently ABLED.
